Sift Community Creator Terms
These Creator Terms apply when you create a Sift Community creator account and when you create, submit or publish question packs ("packs") for Sift. They form an agreement between you and Seif Eddine, who develops and operates Sift ("Sift", "we", "us"). The Sift Community Content Policy is part of these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
By creating a creator account you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account or submit packs.
1. Who can be a creator
- You must be at least 16 years old, or older if your country requires a higher age to agree to these terms on your own.
- You need a valid email address that you control. We send a verification code to it before your account becomes active, and we use it for account security messages such as password resets.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your account. Tell us at contact@siftpuzzle.online if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Your username is shown publicly next to your packs. It must follow the Content Policy. We may ask you to change it, or change it for you, if it does not.
2. Creating and submitting packs
- A pack is a set of multiple-choice questions in one supported language, with a title, a category and an optional cover image. Packs must meet the limits shown in the app (for example, between 20 and 1,000 questions, and a cover image of at most 5 MB).
- Drafts are private to you until you submit them.
- You may submit one new pack for review in any rolling 7-day period. A new pack that is rejected or that you withdraw still counts toward that limit. Editing and resubmitting a pack that has already been submitted does not.
- Once a pack has been submitted, its language cannot be changed.
3. Review, moderation and publication
- Every pack, and every new revision of a published pack, is reviewed by the Sift team before it can be published. We may approve it, reject it, or return it to you for correction.
- Submitting a pack does not guarantee that it will be published, or published by a particular time. We decide what to publish at our discretion, including for reasons of quality, accuracy, suitability or legal risk.
- When a pack or revision is approved, we publish a fixed copy of that version. A published version is not changed afterwards. To change a published pack you submit a new revision, which is reviewed again. The version already published may remain available while a revision is under review.
- Published packs can be found and played by other Sift players, including in multiplayer Party rooms. Your username, the pack's title, description, category, language, questions, answers and cover image are shown publicly.
- We show you statistics about how your published packs are played, such as play counts and numbers of players. We do not show you who your players are.
4. Your content and the licence you give us
- You keep ownership of the content you create. You must have all the rights needed to submit it, including for any text, facts presented as your own work, and images. Do not copy questions, question banks or images from other people, books, quizzes, games, websites or apps unless you have the right to do so.
- You grant Sift a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, review, display, distribute and make your submitted content available to players in Sift, and to use it to operate, secure, moderate, improve and promote Sift. This includes making technical copies, resizing or converting cover images, and formatting content for display.
- This licence continues while your content is published. After a pack is unpublished, removed or your account is deleted, we stop showing it publicly, but games already in progress may finish, and we may keep copies for the purposes described in section 7.
- You are not paid for packs, and publishing a pack does not entitle you to any share of revenue from Sift, including advertising.
- You confirm that your content follows the Content Policy and does not include personal information about other people.
5. Reports
Players can report a published pack, for example for a wrong answer, offensive or inappropriate content, spam or copyright concerns. We review reports and may act on a pack or account as a result. We do not tell you who made a report. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us at contact@siftpuzzle.online with the pack, the content concerned and the rights you hold.
6. Enforcement
If we believe that content or an account breaks these terms or the Content Policy, creates legal risk, or harms players or Sift, we may, with or without notice:
- reject or return a submission, or disable or permanently remove a published pack;
- require you to change your username, or change it;
- suspend your creator account for a period or indefinitely, during which you cannot use creator features;
- end your account and remove your packs from Sift;
- refuse future accounts or submissions from you.
We may sign you out of active sessions and end them when we take these steps. Trying to get around enforcement, for example with another account, is itself a breach of these terms. If you think we made a mistake, contact us at contact@siftpuzzle.online.
7. Deleting your account
- You can delete your creator account in the app at any time. Deleting it signs you out everywhere, removes your email address and password from your account, and stops your packs from being shown publicly.
- We may keep copies of submitted content, moderation decisions, reports and related records where we need them to keep Sift safe, to deal with disputes or abuse, or to meet legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we keep personal information.
8. The service
- Sift Community is provided "as is". We may change, pause or stop it, or any feature of it, at any time. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that any pack will stay published.
- To the extent permitted by law, Sift is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content, arising from your use of Sift Community. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each update has a new version and date at the top of this page. When the version changes, you may be asked to accept the new version before you can continue to use creator features. If you do not accept it, you can stop using creator features and delete your account.
